Sex is not solely about having a child. It’s a moment of closeness and affection that should only be shared with between husband and wife. The “sex is only justifiable if you’re doing it to have a baby” ideal is highly Protestant, and is highly frowned upon by the Church.

I understand that all things are pure, as scripture has stated already. Im encouraging moms and dads of teens not to promote usage of condoms and birth control pills and instead focus on encouraging not having sex before marriage.

By saying “use condoms” or setting your daughter up for birth control pills, your presenting that idea, that, a teen could say, “oh Im protected, so I wont get pregnant”, instead of just saying, “don’t do it” altogether.

Encouragement for abstinence until marriage.
