The History Channel is a bad source for religion. They can’t tell a Gnostic or a Manichean from a Catholic, and seem surprised when we don’t include their books (which is about as surprising as the fact we haven’t included the Koran or Book of Mormon in the Bible).

There are some books that didn’t make the final cut for inclusion in the Bible. Some were deemed as “vulgar” or unacceptable, some may have been “fictional”, and others contradicted the Church’s teachings or made certain religious figures “look bad.”

I’ve seen these documentaries many times. 😃 Do you have any specific questions?
