I am just curious. We know that the anointed disciples were participants of the last supper. We also know, that the anointed disciples/apostles were given the instruction to baptise converts. We also know, that ‘teachers’ (whether they be ministers, bishops, etc.), are the lowest in the chain of hierarchy (other than being above those with special gifts of speaking in foreign languages, etc.).
Is there any ‘written’ authorization going back to the beginning of the church being established, that specifically states that the ‘teachers’ have the authority to carry out baptisms or perform ‘remembrance’ last supper celebrations, or was this just assumed by the church?..again, …just curious.
