Is it OK for my 8 year old son to get baptized by a non Catholic preacher? Can he still get communion in the Catholic Church if he has only been baptized non-denominational?

Why won’t your son be baptized by a Catholic clergyman (bishop/priest/deacon)?

My Wife is not Catholic (she grew up 7th day Adventist, I know, I know) and she wants him to make his own choices. He wants to start training for communion, but she will not allow him to be Baptized Catholic.
