Sorry for the confusion, yall are correct. I was mixing two different issues in my head when I responded.

For a Baptist to Baptist transfer, the baptism is recognized usually through a letter from the previous church.

From the perspective of a Baptist looking at a Christian of another denomination, we recognize that the baptism of infants is a valid part of that denomination. Though we’re more likely to see it as the equivalent to baby dedication than as a sacrament.

I know that SB’s are very much against infant Baptism and would not recognize it as valid, since they believe only the “regenerate” believer can be Baptized. 🙂
