. . . that’s what’s got my head scratching. . . how do Baptists think Catholics aren’t Christian? Christ is the centerpiece of the mass; Catholics have always prayed to Jesus and recognized him as their one and only Lord.

The neat thing about mass (this makes it entirely different from a Protestant service) is that the actual presence is there. It’s reverence, and not just a Bible study. Of course, the high point in the reading at mass are the Gospels.

Perhaps all the accouterments of the Church (the art, etc.) just get confusing. But I’ve never “prayed to a statue” or “prayed to Mary,” those are repulsive ideas to me.
