My understanding of Catholic teaching is that if one is baptized in the name of the Trinity they are a Christian. My question is this, acording to Catholic teaching, if a person has previously been baptized properly and then later denounces faith in Christ are they still considered a Christian? Would such a denial cause him/her to be classified as a non-Christian despite their previous baptism? Thanks.

Baptism is permanent and only done once. If a person revokes his faith that is different then one who falls away from his faith. holyjoe.org/homilies/homily20.htm

This is a wonderful homily about ex-Catholics from Fr.Joseph Horn in California. Please read it.
