Baptized Roman but Confirmed Byzantine?

What is someone was baptized as a baby as Roman Catholic BUT they were confirmed as Byzantine Catholic? Which one are they?

I think that a person’s ritual status is determined by the father. If the father was Byzantine but the child was baptized in a Latin parish, the child is Byzantine but retains the option of requesting to transfer to the Latin Rite after age 14 or something like that. The same holds true for Latin Rite Catholics. With that said… the seven Sacraments are equally valid in all of the Rites of the Catholic Church, and having them conferred upon you by a priest or bishop of a different Rite does not incorporate you into that Rite. To change Rites you must first petition your ordinary and then the ordinary of the Eparchy/Diocese that you wish to join. If permission is gratned, it’s all good. But you can never go back without Papal dispensation.
