I believe Barker hosted the Miss Universe paegent for a number of years but quit over real animal furs being used on the show or some issue like that.

I respect him for his many years as the amiable host of Price is Right, 35 years (most of my life). I remember the show growing up and catch it every now and then when I’m off work (for nostaglia), and my mom watches every day.

It is kind of sad to see him go. But I agree that Rosie would be a poor replacement and I would no longer care to see it.
 
Rosie is a firecracker and very unpredictable. Bob Barker is a very stable and a complete gentleman. Having said that, makes me wonder just how good of a host she would make if someone did not act in a way she expected. I would rather see someone like George Hamilton in that spot. Or some of the other names that have been mentioned, but Rosie martches to the beat of Her drum :rolleyes:only and not good for the variety show circut.

You know, I’m a senior citizen, and I never considered the Price is Right mindless. Or are you saying that senior citizens can only watch programming that doesn’t require much thought? I think I know what you were trying to say, but I don’t like the way you said it.

Relax.

It is mindless programming, as in, doesn’t require much thought. I used to watch it on summer vacations and college.

Nothing against senior citizens, I guess I said that because my grandmother watches it everyday.

I don’t think you understood the context of what he was saying.
 
In the past, the program has had quite a few military people on. I wonder how they would relate to her, after some of her comments about the military people comparing them to terriorists, etc? But maybe and hopefully all of these comments will not matter if CBS has half a brain and gets somebody else to run the show.
 
I can’t see Rosie hosting any gameshow. I saw her maybe once or twice when she had a morning show, and she’s always loud and bombastic. Somehow, I can see just see her screaming and jumping up and down when calling a contestant down.

They need someone calmer…
 
I second that notion! LEt’s just have her join Lost. She’ll be dead within 3 episodes, guaranteed!👍
