BC and FR Beck

So, I’m watching the Pope’ inauguration and Chris Como seemed a little perturbed because the Pope mentioned nothing about change within the CC in his homily.

Then Solidad O’brian asked Fr Beck if the Pope could change the CC stance on BC and he said yes the pope could.

Now, admittedly I was a little sleepy. Could I have fallen asleep and just dreamed this up? I thought BC is always off the table.

Can someone explains this please.

Artificial BC is always off the table. HH can no more change that than he can legitimize adultery.

I cannot tell what you dreamed, not being Joseph or Daniel. However, if someone other than HH tries to say what HH can or cannot do, they can always get it wrong.

Thanks so much for the quick response especially since I have been telling everyone that BC is a non-negotiable and that THAT will not change. Seems I have been defending the faith at every turn lately and honestly, I am getting a little ticked at those that keep hoping for woman priests, bc to be hunky dorey.

YoungTradCath: I’m thinking I need to watch him on mute too. Him saying that seemed awfully incorrect to me. I hope I misunderstoof him.
 
Fr. Beck has said a lot of strange things. He did a parish mission in our parish once. I wouldn’t be surprised if Msgr. Rick said something to him off camera.
 
IF I heard him correctly then I hope someone said something to him. The last thing we need is a liberal priest putting out wrong information. We have enough anti-Catholics that do that.
