Does anyone know where I can get quality (like 400-800 pixels) photographs of Altars esp. High Altars.

te-deum.blogspot.com/

I believe this blog is run by a poster here who attends a parish that celebrates the NO and the TLM. It has some nice altar pictures especially in the archives.

Nice High Altar - I wish they would take away/knock down that disgusting free-standing table/‘Altar’.
Nick, do you ever have the feeling that you should think before you post?

You just called a holy altar, on which the sacrifice of Calvary is represented, disgusting. You called an altar, blessed by Christ’s repeated presence, disgusting.

Yours in Christ,
Thursday

Yes,

Maybe that was a silly and rash thing to say. I was referring to the Altar’s appearance, not to its function. It looks more like a Table than the an Altar of God.

Language was a little harsh - changed it accordingly.

I’m sorry, I was a bit harsh there as well. I prefer the NO, and sometimes get a bit heated defending it.
You know we have probably been at the same Mass before. I have attended the Tridentine Mass in honor of Solemnity of the Holy Mother of God at St. James Place in London. I thought it was quite beautiful, though I still prefer the Latin NO offered at The Oratory. Just personal preference I guess.

Have a Blesses Christmas,
Thursday
