I cannot tell you the name of the piece as I am not educated in that area,however yesterday I was privileged to experience the talents of a sweet simple teenage girl with braces.

There were only 3 people in the church before Mass as she approached the piano. She sat down and began playing the most beautiful ethereal music I had ever heard. She was not reading music but playing by ear and from the heart. I quickly realized she was leaving her gift at the altar,offering this beautiful talent to God. The piece was not very long perhaps 10 minutes,and then she proceeded to return to her pew.

I wish I would have asked her the name of the piece as I would love to hear it again.

The one I posted - Ludovico Einaudi I Giorni (spelt incorrectly previously) was a piece I only recently became familiar with, after hearing it played as background music on a TV programme.
Since then I’ve heard more of his compositions- Nuvole Bianche is another favourite.

Cool. I played the primo part for this in college as part of a friend’s junior recital in piano - your link is to the 2nd movement. The players in the video are quite wonderful. Brings back lots of memories. I encourage people to watch movements 1 and 3.

A slightly more earthy version of the 3rd movement of Scramouche by Milhaud.

Also, may I suggest a CD? John Browning plays Domenico Scarlatti. I listened to it so many times it nearly wore out.
