Did anyone else watch this first episode of a “reality show” about a kid whose dad wants to be a lady and his g.f. whose dad ALSO wants to be a lady AND – how much of this is scripted? – whose older sister is getting married and doesn’t want his dad-wants-to-be-a-lady to be at her wedding because it would be a distraction?

I really don’t like “reality” shows, yet this one seems to be oddly compelling and “bing-watching”-worthy. The cliffhanger from the first episode was that his dad-wants-to-be-a-lady dropped the bombshell on his son that he would be getting the, uh, remaining surgery.

All of it is scripted. The biggest difference between “reality TV” and “non-reality TV” is “reality TV” uses non-union writers.
