I’ve had the wonderful experience of playing Beethoven’s orchestral works.

The ones I’ve done are the:

8th Symphony
Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor

Violin Sonata No. 5 “the Spring”
Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor “Pathetique”
Violin Concerto in D major
Symphony No. 7 A major (especially the 2nd mvt)
Missa Solemnis in D major
Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat major (Emperor)
Romance for Violin in G major

There are some of his works I listen to. Symphony No. 6 (pastoral) is one of my favorites. It unfolds a mind’s-eye scenic story that one could easily get lost in. Beethoven’s music expresses many ‘moods’, and often within the same movement of a particular work. Listening to it is like “opening a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
