Really, Beheading is used in the Bible(Old Testament)
Sure… I don’t know what world you’re living in, but you should read the Bible more often. I’ve read it a thousand times and found no saying of or relations to beheading.

What’s the point of this? Should we open a complementary thread entitled “Stoning to death recommended by Bible”? Stoning is a much crueller means of execution than a quick beheading.

Maybe you found “no sayings of or relations to beheadings” because you lost your head reading the Bible a thousand times.

What is your point? The Bible also has stoneing, hanging and crucifixion. I don’t care what the Muslims say, in my opinion Islam is a violent religion that is out to destroy Christianity.

Since Islam first appeared on this planet 1400 years ago it has been spread, primarily by violence. From medievial Spain and southern France to present day Bali, Islam seeks no accomadation with faiths practiced by non-Islamists. In Bali the indigenous peoples practice a begnign faith combining Bhuddism and animism. This faith has been suppressed by elements of the Indonesian govenment. The Coptic church in Eygpt is on the verge of disappearing because of Islamic persecution.
When Islam gains a majority of a population, the Sharia is ruthlessly imposed on those who do not share their faith. This has been repeated in countries throughout the world. Name one country in the world where Islam is the majority faith and is not ruled in dictatorial fashion? Unlike Christianity, which was spread by the import and truth of its message. Islam does not compete in the market place of ideas, rather, it has chosen the sword as its messenger.
Finally, ask yourselves this question? If we were beheading persons in the name of Catholicism, how loud and incessant would be the Church’s condemation of our actions. Yet, we hear no such condemations from the mosques. Where is the Imam who deplores these heinous acts to Muslim community? Why do they not seek to stop these brutalities because Islam is a “religon of peace.”

Keep in mind that beheading was a common form of capital punishment in European countries until just a few decades ago.
The last person to be guillotined in France was executed in 1977. (France dropped capital punishment in 1981.) Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and other countries had used the guillotine, many of them well into the twentieth century.
If capital punishment were still used in Europe, it probably would include the use of the guillotine.

The beheadings in France 27 years ago and and the beheadings of late in Iraq and Saudi Arabia are horses of different colors.
Primarily, the beheadings in France were done under the power of the state, with full measure of law and a history of jurisprudence afforded to the state and the defense.
In Iraq and Saudi Arabia no jurisprudence is considered for the victim. For victim is truly applicable in this context. For they are taken, without habeus corpus, held in camera, denied consul, and finally thier lives (with full play for the media) are dispatched using knives that may or may not be in the hands of someone who is effective in beheading quick and mercifully.
The facts are that no matter what method these terrorists use to foment their evil, they are evil men. That other countries may have used cruel punishments in the past, or such punishments are mentioned in the Old and New Testaments are not sufficient to apply them in a world that rejects capital punishment in all but the rarest of circumstances.
That these “practioners” of Islam use these methods is but further evidence of the moral depravity of a religon hopelessly locked in the thinking that “might makes right.”

It’s interesting that you asked because I just read both books of Samuel and found it eye opening in light of recent events.Really, Beheading is used in the Bible(Old Testament)

Islam acts nowadays like Christianity acted 300 - 1300 years ago.Charlemagne slautering Saxons, crusaders, conquistadores come into my mind.
Today Islam is biggest threat to individual freedom there is, but Christianity did exactly the same.

I like the post of the person who said that Islam is not a violent religion, that is so true, it is a religion of profound worship of God under the name of Allah. The five pillars of Islam are certainly not violent. There are alas some violent people who are of the Islamic religion, just as there are, alas, some violent people who are the Christian religion. Pray for peace in the world.
