Bishop Hermann explains his willingness to die to end abortion
“Therefore, behind Planned Parenthood, behind the abortion issue, is the evil one,” Bishop Hermann stated. “I often see human beings caught up in this as victims of the evil one who need my prayers and who need my compassion and who need my love. We don’t only want to save our children from destruction; we also want to save our adult brothers and sisters from eternal destruction.”
The bishop expressed concern about President-elect Barack Obama’s support for Planned Parenthood, which he claimed targets blacks with abortion information and facilities in their neighborhoods.
Turning to possible problems under a pro-abortion rights Obama presidency, he called the proposed Freedom of Choice Act “dangerous” because “it would be undermining all the efforts for the past 35 years of trying to limit the destructive effects of abortion.” He also noted the possibility Obama could appoint two more Supreme Court justices, which he claimed could secure the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision “for many, many years.”
Why does the “faithful” not listen? Is it, words need to be followed with action?

In my humble opinion, the “faithful” listen. The question is, to whom do they listen? Are they truly seeking the voice of God in their life? Why did only 100 of our 300 bishops speak out during the election? Why do we not truly preach what the church teaches us from the pulpit?

Too many of us get caught up in the world and forget that we are not of this world. It happens to so many within the church. That is why those who listen to the voice of God in their life need to be more vocal and more active. Prayer, fasting, penance, and adoration…all to be offered up for our priests, our church and the world.

If FOCA goes through, it will be an even sadder day for our country and our world. www.focafacts.com BO is not the leader many of the “faithful” wished to see, but I do believe he is the leader that the world deserves. Sadly, the world doesn’t listen to the voice of God and this is why we are in trouble.

The good news ~ The Bible! We win in the end!! Praise God! This is a time of great graces.

I guess another question that should be asked is this: what else must we do in addition to fasting, prayer, ect.? What actions should ordinary Catholics take?
I was refering to the action of the Bishops, or lack of and I was being Sarcastic about the “faithful”. Fasting & prayer sounds good to me…
