I am being confirmed this Saturday. As the day approaches, I can’t wait to finally be in full communion with the Church.

Please pray for me and my family. I’ve enjoyed my fellowship here and look forward to being part of the family.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Congrats! How long were you on the journey, if I may ask? I am contemplating asking my priest if I can get confirmed before Christmas, but some people think it’s too soon for me.

I came to faith (became a Christian) 5 years ago in my early 40s. I was initially drawn the Catholicism, but was baptized into a Protestant denomination. I suppose my journey began then, but I began to study and consider Catholicism in earnest about 2 years ago and went through RCIA and finished prior to last Easter (but did not cross then). The sacraments have been drawing me every since. Having being confirmed and having experienced confession and my first eucharist (and now, after today, my second), I can only say I don’t know what I was waiting for.
