please ignore, the original was first posted to non-catholic religions because I thought I saw a kind of analogy to a non-Catholic religion.

I moved it not because it’s annoying, but because you’re asking about Catholic consecration, which isn’t a topic for the Non-Catholic subforum. The Non-Catholic subforum is for topics regarding other religions, so it didn’t make sense to put it there.
 
Except it wasn’t about consecration itself, it was whether there was an analogy to something Mormons do.

Ah, that wasn’t clear in your original post. I can move it back to that forum, although I thought by moving it here I thought someone could explain a little more on Catholicism’s view on the nature of the consecration and what it means.
