I am in a dilemma. I feel left out by “friends” in town. Someone who I consider a close friend was in the hospital for a few days. I did not know. No one told me! This happened once before. After it happened the last time I asked them to please tell me if he goes back in the hospital. But they didn’t! I feel left out and ignored. I guess I don’t really mean that much to them. I have to hold on to my dignity and process this. I don’t want to be mad. But I don’t want to be naive either.

Be sure that the evil one isn’t setting you up to have these feelings.

It may be, they forgot or whatever, but it wasn’t you, nor them.

Don’t let it get to you, otherwise you’ll over react and it will make things turn into what you feared, even though it wasn’t there to begin with.

Pray for them, and for guidance.

I tend to get the same quite a lot…

I don’t really have any particular advice as I’m stymied, in the same boat, but I’m praying for ya! :o

Instead of making yourself upset, just try to be proactive. (I know it’s upsetting though).
Send your hospitalized friend a card, saying
“I was so sorry to find out that you have been ill in hospital. I wish someone had told me.
Please know that I send good thoughts and prayers your way, and if there is anything I can do for you here’s my number.”

it may not be his fault. Depending on the age of people involved, they may be playing a bit of a “clique”. Don’t worry abut it.

Once your friend realizes that you have nothing but good will for him or her, opportunities for interaction will open up. And isn’t that really the heart of it? It’s not about being left out of something interesting, it’s about offering and retaining true friendship.
God bless you for caring so much.
