Being nervous about faith...was this a sin?

This morning I was doing this activity on the computer from my religion book. When my dad walked into the room, I clicked off and said “It was nothing, just saomething from my religion book, it doesn’t matter.” Was this a sin? I felt sorry right after I said it.

No, Jesus even said something about how we should pray in secret, to avoid being praised and getting rewards for it in this life.

I don’t think doing your homework is a sin. Were you lying to him about homework? I don’t understand what your question is unless you are saying there was something beyond doing religion homework.
