I believe prayer softens the heart. I also believe it aids in conversion of the mind and soul. All of this is of course if the prayers aren't viewed as currency for a vending machine. Does anyone have thoughts to share from the desert fathers and mothers or from any saints regarding prayer and softening the heart or transformation, etc...? Have a blessed, fruitful day.
