I want to read the work of Johannes Paulus ll “Theology of The Body”. But there are several books which claims to summarize and comment the talks. So i’m looking for a recommendation what Book to buy. I prefere a book going as indepth as possible.

I only had one book that was an “explanation” of Theology. As I recall, it was by Christopher West. Personally, I didn’t care for it and found Pope John Paul’s words better and clearer. I should add, I was used to reading Pope John Paul’s talks & encyclicals so was familiar with his language and manner of teaching.

Something to remember when reading the book “Theology of the Body”, is that Pope John Paul did not write it as a book. The book is a compilation of his weekly General Audience talks. Thus, a talk might begin with a recap of something from the previous week.
