The best comprehensive dictionary for ecclesiastical Latin is Lewis and Short. You can access it on-line via Tuft’s Perseus Project:I was hoping to get Lewis and Short’s but 150 is way too much. What is the best comprehensive dictionary for scripture and ecclesial latin in general???
I have found this one to be a good, reasonably priced dictionary for ecclesiastical Latin:I was hoping to get Lewis and Short’s but 150 is way too much. What is the best comprehensive dictionary for scripture and ecclesial latin in general???
You do not really need a dictionary of ecclesiastical Latin to translate from the Vulgate. I would just use the online reference for other documents when needed. BTW I am cheap!I was hoping to get Lewis and Short’s but 150 is way too much. What is the best comprehensive dictionary for scripture and ecclesial latin in general???
