Oh - how this just breaks my heart!!! :crying:We did not stop recieving Communion on the tongue and kneeling until the mid-70s (when they took the Communion rails out.)
At our parish we only receive kneeling, on the tongue, at the altar rail. Even the other parish we will go to when we can’t make Mass at our own parish, is the same way.
This is the way it should be. On your knees before God, with your hands folded and away in prayer and humility. Allowing the consecrated hands of the priest or deacon to deliver Him to you.
