Hey all,

Recently I’ve convinced an atheist friend of mine through several of the more popular arguments that there is a God. That dialog took place over a period of a few months, and culminated today in her admittance that there must have been some sort of supernatural being that created the Universe. She says that she’s even now considering the possibility that life was designed.

But, she said, she doesn’t see how believing this could change her life. My arguments were intellectual and for theism in general, not specifically Christianity.

I felt a little caught off-guard by this statement because, firstly, for months we had been talking on purely scientific and philosophical grounds, not spiritual ones. Now that I’ve convinced her in that respect, I’m at a loss as to how to introduce her to Christ. Of course it’s obvious that I’m supposed to pray for her, but does anyone have any ideas how I can evangelize in this less intellectual and more spiritual way? How do you introduce someone to Christ once they accept God’s existence? Or does He introduce Himself?

Thanks for any response!

Dear Friend,

I admire your efforts in convincing your Atheist friend to know God.

Why don’t you give him a new testament, and let him/her to read the life of Jesus. The words of the Lord are so powerful that if an atheist would read them (even if he/she would think initially that they are just fiction), they would receive the grace of God and be converted, if God wills it.

And pray for him/her often so he would receive the grace of conversion. Pray to Mary our Heavenly Mother, She will help you in this task.

God Bless.

Sol
