An employee of my affiliation did it a few times as a joke.

They apologized.

Seems that closing the thread is the charitable thing to do.

“Mistake”?!

When you forget to label a product, that’s a mistake.
But when you label a Scripture or Sacred Text of any
religion as FICTION, you have skedaddled past mis‒
take! You have just slammed head-on into faux pas!
😛

I’m pretty sure it was not done intentionally. If it was they sure missed a good chance to quadruple their profits as marked at $14.99 😃

Nonna2005:
Costco in California had labled the Holy Bible as “fiction”

abcnews.go.com/blogs/headline…ction-section/

They say it was just a mistake… You would think someone would have caught that “mistake”
with the way people have interpreted the Bible over the years…calling it fiction may not be that far off 🙂

Seems the distributor mislabeled a small number of them, not Costco themselves.

The irony is…people do often think the scriptures of other religions that are not their own are somewhat made up, right?
Those in the Jewish faith may think events in the Christian canon are fictional.
Those in the Catholic faith may think the events in the Mormon canon are fictional.
Mormons would think events in the Koran are fictional…

And so on, and so on…
.
While true, you never find books of a religious nature - even dead religions - categorized under “Fiction”.
