Today’s first reading has raised a “red flag” that I do not understand?

I checked haydocks and Matthew Henrey’s Concordence, and still don’t understand.

My question deals with Genensis 4:13 "13 Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me this day away from the ground; and from thy face I shall be hidden; and I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and** whoever finds me will slay me.” **

IF Adam and Eve are our first parents, and to this point Eve has, with the help of God, had Cain and Able, who is there that could kill, Cain?

Admitting I’m a dummy:eek: 😊
