Help me find as many references to Christ being King if you have some time. I am working on a project aiming at teaching the kids a story (secular one about a king) and then going right into a relgious story and bible verses.
Please help me out with the project. Dont know which secular book to choose or religious yet, but I do need the bible verses in any case. This is for kindergarten to 3rd Grade. I only have 2 weeks to work on it. They have to work with their parents on the entire thing, its presented in 2 parts.

I am going to toss my 2 cents in here and suggest that you check out the Lord of the Rings. Tolkien was a Catholic and, although I have not read them, I know there have been several books written about the Lord of the Rings and the Catholic allegory contained in the Trilogy.

I can tell you that after reading the books, listening to the books and watching the movies the Lord of the Rings is a Catholic work. Tolkien was much more subtle than C.S. Lewis because I do not think he was trying to evangelize, per say, but the trilogy coupled with some of these books (and of course the Biblical passages - can’t help you there) and you should be good to go.

I would love so much to be present because it sounds so interesting. I am certain whatever you do will be a success…I will pray for as much as well.

God bless!

Check this link as well, I just found it today but at the bottom it contains the titles for some of the types of books i mentioned…especially J. R. R. Tolkien’s Sanctifying Myth: Understanding Middle-Earth (I have yet to check that out at the library). catholiceducation.org/articles/arts/al0161.html

Hi Monica Here are a few verses. Read them in your bible to see if they are what you are looking for.

Matt:2:2, 21:5, 27:29,37,42.
Mark15:2,9,18,26,32.

This is a start for you.

Great! Thank you all I found one in 1 Tim 6:13-15.

I think Psalm 72:17 is good too, but not exactly what I am looking for.

Psalm 2:6 and 7 is really good!🙂

I am currently taking all your ideas and posts and adding them to my stuff.

THANK YOU!

Revelation 3:1 really shocked me, because I thought about that one for a minute. It proves the Trinity in one verse!👍
There are not 2 thrones, only one. 2 cant sit in one throne.
It goes without saying that the Holy Spirit can go where he pleases.

WOW.

Thank you for the link. I just glanced at that one verse, and stopped looking at the rest. Somehow, my eyes just scanned down to it and it hit me. There are lots of other verses that you can find that will allow any rational person to believe it, but that one is good.
