This may be a silly question, but I have become very interested in the Eastern Catholic Traditions. I myself am Roman Catholic - Latin Rite.

Is the Byzantine Catholic Bible, or any of the other Eastern Catholic Bibles the same as what the Latin Rite uses (73 books), or is it bigger (does it contain the entire Septuagint)? Thanks everyone 🙂

God bless,
ZP

As far as I know, the Eastern Catholic Churches use the same 73 books that the Latin Church uses. Individual Eastern Catholic laypeople may use a version of the Bible that their corresponding Orthodox counterparts use. But that is a personal thing.

Since the complete LXX has ever been the official Bible of the Byzantine Churches, this includes the Eastern Catholic Churches.

Thank you all so much for the information. Just out of curiosity, can one find an english translation of the whole LXX?

Try the newly-released ORTHODOX STUDY BIBLE.
