Is the King James Version an accurate translation of the bible? And which is the translation of preference for Catholics?
Many Thanks,
Kathy

The King James version is not a good choice for catholics as it leaves out several of our books.
Depending on what you want it for, the RSV-CE, Douey-Rhiems, and NAB (the one used at mass), can all be good choices 🙂

No, it has several know errors.

The New American Bible is my choice, although I also have a King James, NIV and Modern English Bible that I use for comparitive study.
