I was wondering if anyone out there can give me tips or advice for a group Bible study. I’d like to know if there are steps, guidelines, or procedures that you follow or do.

Thanks… :bible1:

Check out this site. They have everything you need. I think they ask for a small donation if you are going to make copies for an actual bible study. But they walk you through everything and guide you in setting up a bible study group…

…and ABSOLUTELY faithful to church teaching.

And remember also that the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a valuable resource in a bible study as well.

Good news! 🙂 We in the Twin Cities have been using materials by Jeff Cavins (of EWTN fame and Relevant Radio - Starboard Network) for some years now, and are sold on them. Best of all, Jeff conducts a Time Line Series that enables participants to follow His-story throughout the entire Bible in approximately nine months. Once the general framework of what’s going on is evident, study of the individual books of Scripture will fill in gaps and make great sense. Lacking the overview, one can get bogged down in things that are important, but impede the story itself.

Next year over 2,000 are expected to take the course! This year we had 1,500 with a waiting list!

For info contact Relevant Radio (Starboard Network) in the Chicago area or in Minneapolis at 763-546-4000.

Hmm… Jeff Cavins is coming to Sacred Heart Parish, Lombard, IL come October or November. His topic will be the Bible Timeline. Interesting indeed.
