Hi,

The final chapter seems to re-iterate many themes relating to our salvation and what is promised.

The righteous will inherit incredible reward with Our Lord the root of Jesse and the bright morning star, and the wicked who will not repent of their falsehoods will not.

Again John tried to worship the angel, and again the angel instructed him not to do that… I wonder if there is any significance in the repetition of this part?

Salvation does not come from created thing, not even the holy angels on their lofty abode, but God alone.

Punishment is called recompense, is this is important perhaps because we understand the guilty and righteous are simply judged by their own standard, or measured with our own rod. If we have done good, good done will be good to us (ie. we will be rewarded) while if we have done evil, evil will done to us (ie. we will be punished.) Those who love God forever, God will love forever and those who hate God forever, God will hold His anger against forever. We will simply be treated according to our deeds… recompensed… Do unto others as you would have other do unto you.

He writes ‘let the wicked do wicked’… which points perhaps what Scott was talking about in one of his essays in there will be no more redemption once its all finished… no more wicked shall ever repent but they will harden their hearts forever, and they will never choose to turn back… the irrevocable or unforgiveable sin against the Spirit.

Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. God is timeless, He was, is and is to come.

What does it mean it says if anyone adds or takes away from anything in this book?

I know some protestants take that verse as a defence of sola scriptura… but what are the other interpretations?

I feel this an opportune to offer a prayer, you may repeat this if you choose:

Lord, let us, those in this bible study and everyone we may pray this for, come to see your face and may your name be ever on our foreheads as is described in this book. We ask this through the Lamb, the bright morning star, Amen.

The tree of life:

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tre ethat is pleasant to the sight and good for food, the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of hte knowledge of good and evil.

no more be anything accursed:

Zechariah 14:11 And it shall be inhabited, for there shall be no more curse; Jerusalem shall dwell in security.

they shall see his face:

Psalms 17:15 As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with beholding thy form.

let the evildoer still do evil:

Daniel 12:10 Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but those who are wise shall understand.

I am coming soon, bringing my recompense:

Isaiah 40:10 Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

I am the first and the last:

Isaiah 44:6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: "I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.

the right to the tree of life:

Genesi 3:22 Then the Lord God, said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever”

I am the root and offspring of David:

Iaiah 11:10 In that day the root of Jesse shall stand as an ensign to the peoples; him shall the nations seek, and his dwellings shall be glorious.

come drink the water of life without price:

Isaiah 55:1 "Ho, every one who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The grace of the Lord Jesus with all of the saints:

2 Thessalonians 3:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

God Bless,

Chapter 22

1
Then the angel showed me the river of life-giving water, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

Gen 2
***10 And a river went out of the place of pleasure to water paradise, ***
2
down the middle of its street. On either side of the river grew the tree of life that produces fruit twelve times a year, once each month; the leaves of the trees serve as medicine for the nations.

Gen 2
9 And the Lord God brought forth of the ground all manner of trees, fair to behold, and pleasant to eat of: the tree of life also in the midst of paradise:

Revelation is in black Genesis is in blue.
The end is united with the beginning here .

and this is so because Jesus says:
****I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." ****

I have started a new thred on Romans bible study check it all in sacred scripture

In the beginning upon the earth the tree of life stood in the midst of the garden (Gen.2:9 below).

In the “new heaven” and the “new earth” (2 Pe.3:10-13, Re.21:1, Isa.65:17), the tree of life (which stands in the midst of the paradise of God - Re.2:7 below), is in the city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem (Heb.12:22, Re.22:1-2, Re.22:14 below).

I believe it is possible that upon this earth, that the holy city Jerusalem is the PLACE of the paradise of God that Adam and Eve inhabited? I am tending to believe this since the paradise of God and the tree of life will be in the heavenly Jerusalem in the new earth.

Gen.2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life (Re.2:7, Re.22:1-2, Re.22:14 below) also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Re.2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God (Re.22:2).

Re.22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Heb.12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion (Re.14:1), and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.

Re.22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Re.22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.

But first I want to lay down some rules

I think that laying down rules comes under the purview of the moderator only. If I am wrong, please have the moderator correct me.
