I am a newbie so hopefully I am in the correct forum.
Our women’s Bible Study is looking for suggestions for our next study. We are now completing “Catholicism” by Father Barron’s and have also enjoyed Jeff Cavin’s studies. DVD studies have worked well for us. Does anyone know about “Epic: A Journey Through Church History” or “Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained”? Are there any studies (even non-DVD) that focus on different saints? Other suggestions?
Thanks!

FWIW, I recommend the Ignatius Study Bible (RSV-CE 1966). It is New Testament only at this point with some of the OT books available separately. The Ignatius press website has free downloads of study guides in pdf which have questions, etc for each chapter of every book. The bible is only around $30 delivered to your door…

I recently got this and started going thru it and I found it to be invaluable. I’m no Scripture scholar or theologian but I’ve learned a lot!

I’m curious to see what others suggest as well.

The Sermons of the Cure d’Ars - is one saint focusing on being a parish priest. (He became known as the patron saint of parish priests.)
