Nine, yes. Six, I’m not too sure. Some of the more dramatic moments could be way too intense. (Assuming all the high-tech sci-fi lingo isn’t already way over their head.

My wife, son (9) and daughter (12) loved it.
Particularly my wife, because the creator of the story shopped the idea around to different colleges’ robotics departments before settling on our alma mater. Many of the scenes appear to have been set in places that she knew very well from our years there. In other words, absolutely avoid it at all costs. I saw a post on CAF that it’s satanic.
Meanwhile, our other daughter (16) and I watched “Mockingjay.”

Would you say, if you have seen the previous two movies, that it was more intense or less? Just wanna know how to prepare my self. Thanks!

I wouldn’t say it’s more intense, but it’s different. For me, the most intense part of all was the Reaping at the beginning of the first book/movie and the story with Rue. The intensity of the first movie seemed to be focused on personalized fear and violence. In Mockngjay the intensity is focused more on group fear and violence.Yeah, I heard it on youtube but I didn’t want to listen past when everyone else starts singing because we all know what happens there

That being said, my 16 year old admitted that she didn’t look at the scenes involving Peeta because they were too emotionally intense for her.
