BrooklynBoy200:
A lot of artistic people are, by nature, very anti-establishment. Its in direct opposition to the same notions that make them want everyone to hear them (egoism.)

I like The Beatles & the members solo work, but I think Lennon in particular is being oversold as a prophet today. He’s just an artist, interpret his work as you want, but why wear the shirt. You have a lot more to offer, and when people see you let them see a positive Christian person with his own thoughts - not as a Lennon follower.

🤷 I wonder if he lived longer if he would continue to be so anti- things. Many artists regret this as they get older, and realize how complex issues really are. I heard Bono say he doesn’t feel the same about Reagan as he did when he ripped him (Bullets Over the blue sky), stating that he didn’t understand the whole issue. David Bowie has been notoriously anti-religion in his youth, but there he was on one knee saying the “Our Father” at a charity show in England. Dolores O’Riordan (Cranberries) says she regrets commenting on politics in her youth so much, and she see’s the good The Catholic Church does for the world.👍

Artists offer ideas (don’t assume they have answers), the world changes (old opinions don’t apply), the Love of God doesn’t! Be about that First and foremost Bro!🙂

The fact that you have pause about wearing the stuff means you already know the answer. . .and I’m sure your a good guy. Peace!
