I have not been on this forum for quite some time. I had some trouble with my computer due to bad virus, so I have done away with my internet service for awhile. But in the mean time I have been very busy with a project. I do have my computer up and going now (without internet), and I am working on a translation on Hebrews, with some other additions to the work that I thought might interest those of you who love to study Scripture.

Along with my translation I am adding in two features, such as, commentary notes, and translations notes. Let me give you a brief summary of what is unfolding.
  1. Translation: My translation is based upon the Greek New Testament and Latin Vulgate. So far I have translated up to the 6th Chapter of Hebrews, and I have started adding commentary notes. But I have spent many hours insuring accuracy based upon the best Greek readings, and I have applied a great deal of the Latin Vulgate flavor in it.
  2. Commentary: This will be a delight for those who are conservative concerning Catholic doctrine. I have been using strictly quotes from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Early Church Fathers, and other solid pro-Catholic sources in the interpretations of the Scriptures. For those of you who are sceptic towards some of the “less than traditional” footnotes and commentaries of the NAB and other works that are not dedicated towards traditional Catholic authoritative doctrine, then I think some of you may appreciate what I have been trying to do. I don’t know if their is anything out there on the market that provides this kind of approach, or is as exaustive as what I am making it, but I will be providing the work as I go on this board assuming that it is OK with the moderators. It is only done for personal study purposes, and not any type of sales pitch WHATSOEVER.
  3. Translation footnotes: This is nothing more than footnotes that supply very exaustive variant readings that happen to be in among some of the ancient manuscripts that where done by scribal hands. I will provide some very helpful references for those of you who understand textual criticism.
Since I don’t have the internet right now I am using a computer at the library. But I will on a rountine bases transmit what I have done from my computer over to here so that anyone on here can use it for their studies.

Also, if there is anyone who is interested in contributing to this then that would be great. I am doing this work for my own library, and even if I don’t actually publish it I do intend on getting a printing done somewhere down the road to have it put on my bookshelf for my personal use and even to hand down to my son when he gets older. If there is anyone seriously interested in maybe working with me, for nothing more than a love for the Scriptures and a love for the Church, then I would love the help on this very demanding project, which can be done simply through computer.

God bless! I will start posting the work real soon.

May God bless you for this labor of love, and I encourage you to follow it through to it’s completion. Lord knows, we don’t have enough orthodox Catholic bible commentaries right now. Just make sure you surround yourself with prayer that the Holy Spirit will guide you in humility and obedience to the truths of the Church, that you not become tired or discouraged by naysayers and scoffers who Satan will send, and that your focus be on Jesus through the whole process. You may also ask for people to commit to prayer support for this project, as I’m sure you’ll need it. I also will be praying for you.
