Big Work and Life Decision

Hello, everyone.

I’ve posted about this before. I’ve been thinking about leaving New York and moving back home. This is something that’s been on my mind since my mother died in 2012. I haven’t really taken any action on it as I really wasn’t mentally or emotionally ready to make a life changing decision.

I recently decided that it’s something that I really want to do. I’ve taken the initial steps at work, and this would involve my current employer allowing me to set up a virtual office in another location, and travel to NY when needed. It’s not unprecedented for our company to allow people to have such an arrangement.

I’m having another discussion about it this week, and I ask please for your prayers with this.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
    And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:

In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,

Lord, Almighty God,
source of light, truth, and eternal goodness,
transform this present moment
into an hour of vision and inspiration.
Help me to find wisdom;
shed light on my thoughts.
May my aspirations come true
through righteous and good deeds.

to think objectively,
and to see clearly.
Shed your light on me so that I may see
which decision to make.

not really that far. going home is always tempting. I don’t believe in the saying “you can’t go home again”.

I will be praying for you as you weigh your decision.

I’m going to have my second discussion on the subject with my employer tomorrow.
 
I had my second conversation and it looks like we’re good to move forward with this! There are still some challenges, but things are at least in motion!
