To Mormons - The way you rallied around traditional family values in California and helped prevent same-sex marriage is impressive đź‘Ť
 
The biggest compliment I can give to any faith is to say that certain aspects of them are very close to Catholicism - as Catholicism should be.

This includes things like the pro-life stance of Mormons and some other Christian groups (and a lot of Muslims I’ve spoken to as well), the wonderful traditional music and (usually) reverent liturgy of the Orthodox, High Church Anglicans and others, the emphasis on detachment from the world of Buddhists, the respect for tradition and authority, and family, of Confucianists …

Were you baptised Catholic? If not, then you wouldn’t have been burned at the stake. The Inquisition was only for those who WERE baptised Catholic but lapsed from the faith, if that’s any consolation.
 
To the Mormons: I think your welfare program would be a wonderful way for the USA to do it if it could be instituted.
