A friend of mine invited me to attend a Billy Graham Prayer Crusade. We are both strong and faithful Catholics. He wants to go because he just wants to experience what may be Rev. Graham’s last prayer crusade. I’m going because two of my favorite bands are performing. Is it alright if we go? I know it’s not a huge moral dilemma, but I’d just like to get some feedback. Thanks in advance, my brothers and sisters in Christ. 🙂

I see no moral hindrance in simply attending the crusade. As long as you don’t take communion with them (and I doubt they’ll be serving it, anyway), and you do not go in place of your Sunday Obligation to go to Mass, you are permitted to go to Protestant services. I don’t blame you for going to see your favorite bands – I’ve done the same thing myself! I wouldn’t buy any books or crusade paraphernalia, but that’s just a matter of taste, not morality.

If you feel you are strong enough in your Catholic faith so as not to be led astray by false doctrines, then go and have a good time. 👍
