Bird Flu is all over the news recently. World experts are expecting a deadly Bird Flu pandemic in the very near future that can kill millions of people. Bird Flu Specials were aired on CNN and National Geographics last Sunday. The bird flu is currently wreaking havoc in Vietnam and in Indonesia. So far, the bird flu had killed 50% of those it infected (based on confirmed cases). The US Secretary of Health have stated that a bird flu pandemic is a near certainty. A worst case scenerio by the US Dept of Health estimated 92 million American may become infected with the bird flu if a pandemic erupt.
Also in the news recently are multiple reports of statues of the Virgin Mary crying in Vietnam and a Virgin Mary statue crying tears of blood outside a Vietnamese church in Sacramento, CA. I understand these events have not been authenticated; but if these are indeed supernatural events, could the tears and tears of blood of the Virgin Mary correlate to the pending Bird Flu pandemic?
Consider this fact, the last time a major bird flu pandemic occurred in 1918, 20 to 100 million people died (out of a world population of about 1.5 billion people at that time). Symptoms of those infected included “bleeding from the eyes”. The current bird flu virus is similar to the bird flu virus in 1918, only it seems to be deadlier, with a much higher fatality rate thus far.
If you missed the bird flu specials, National Geographics is having a rebroadcast on Saturday 12/17/05 at 2pm Eastern.
