Back to the OP’s issue…
As others have said, you should absolutely feel comfortable speaking with your gynecologist about how you feel. It is also entirely possible that since years have gone by since you were started on the hormone treatment you may no longer have this problem. I was in a similar situation and after 10 years I simply stopped. The issues had resolved themselves in that time and I didn’t need the medication anymore.
If, for some reason, you aren’t comfortable with your drys response then you might have to find a new physician. However, I think any reasonable Dr wouldn’t have a problem with you stopping a medication and seeing how you do. If the problem persists, then further investigation will be necessary.
