Birthday Gift for Jesus
What gift do you give Jesus for His birthday?
What special present at His feet do you lay?
How will your honor the King of Kings day?
What treat will you bring Him on His special day?
What can I give the Lord that He does not have already?
What do I possess that He will value immensely?
What can I do that will make a great difference?
How can I show my great love and great reverence?
For some, they do a good deed in Jesus’ honor and glory,
A witness of Jesus Christ’s goodness for many to see.
Others will restrain from committing one of their sins,
Cleansing their souls of one of their imperfections.
For some, they give Jesus their love deep from their heart,
Praying for a deep union with Him never ever to part.
For others, they give Jesus themselves, mind, body and soul,
For they have found that only in Jesus they are truly whole.
For me, I cannot give Him anything special for this day,
Because I give Him all of myself every moment of every day.
I give Him my joys and sorrows, my saintliness and sins,
All actions I take, all that I am, my thoughts and reasons.
For I love Jesus greatly – He is my God and my friend,
Our relation grows deeper every day never to end.
All that I am and do, I do with His wonderful indwelling,
For Him, I never want to end my great and total loving.
