This is a wonderful small booklet that makes several good points and insights in an easy read. I recommend it to anyone struggling with the crisis of the Church from last year.

They gave it out for free at my parish after every Mass this weekend. It was a gift from a donor. Reading it now.

I have only just started it. I pre-ordered it in June and got in in July, but my Mom really wanted to read it first, and even though it is a short book, she took a couple weeks to get through it. 😦

while i am only a couple chapters in, i like it so far…although “like” is a strange word to use considering the subject. I am very much looking forward to finding some time to sit and read the whole thing at once. My parents and I already know about Bishop Robert Barron, like to watch his other talks, especially on youtube. 👍

Hey @Prodigal1984 I saw bishop Barron’s video on this when he returned from Ireland. (And I also think bishop Sean O’Malley is a good person.)

One single thing struck me -the key issue- for not having been addressed:

How does the episcopate, as a small restrictive society, look back on their own shortcomings as a group, and as indiduals?

(As a first hand account. When they did start realizing and -in situ (placed in the situation)- were taken to apply reflexivity in their peer&self-analyses.

A field-analyses of the episcopate from the inside in a moment of dire crisis (Benedict XVI hinted at this in his latest letter). I don’t think there will be any closure before they give that account. For them, it is the hardest comment to give. Perhaps even impossible.)
