Just sounds like a whiny, “not-good-enough” screed from someone who won’t acknowledge the fact that Francis is handling the situation with Finn. The Pitch is essentially a Leftist tabloid (they call it “alternative news”). And the fact that Francis “swiftly removed a bishop who mishandled money”? Well, had he not, they’d gripe about that too. I know too well the Catch-22s and double standards the secular world throws at the Church.

Nevertheless, I do agree that Finn needs to be replaced. I live on the Kansas side of KC, and his failure to act has caused great scandal. I have trouble trusting the KC-St. Joseph diocese (Missouri side’s diocese). Finn is supposedly a more traditional bishop, instituting the Latin Mass in several places, reaffirming the ban on Freemasonry, denouncing the National “Catholic” Reporter as heretical, etc. But none of that matters when you cover up a child molester.
