A Vortex from RealCatholicTV.com Why are the bishops seeking advice from a lesbian on matters of health care?

Yes we are all very much sinners. However, I do believe that there is a great difference between knowing that you are a sinner and working each day to repent and sin no more, and being a sinner, refusing to acknowledge that what you are doing is indeed a sin, (embracing an openly gay lifestyle), and refusing to repent of that sinful behavior, and acting as if those who have the gall to say what you are doing in wrong are some how guilty of a hate crime because they will not accept your filthy lifestyle as being “normal”. Yes, I am a sinner, but I am at least trying to get better, and not simply trying to get others to agree that my sins aren’t so bad.2 things
- What are the bishops asking her for? The video is very vague.
- Aren’t all of us sinners? According to what it seems like you are trying to say, then that would eliminate everyone from advising.
What you say…sounds logical and truthful…but it is fatally flawed in both logic and truth…it is the dualist heresy which disassociates the bodily person form the spiritual person…if you don’t get the truth of the human person right…you are going to be “off” in everything else dealing with the person…probably “far off in left field”…!Because same sex attraction doesn’t disqualify you from having knowledge on healthcare?
And from** John Paul II**…The truth of the subject matter is demonstrated by Germain Grisez“if the person really is not his body, then the destruction of the life of the body is not directly and in itself an attack on a value intrinsic to the human person.” Thus:
Christian moral thought must remain grounded in a sound anthropology which maintains the bodiliness of the person. Such moral thought sees personal biological, not merely generically animal biological, meaning and value in human sexuality. The bodies which become one flesh in sexual intercourse are persons; their unity in a certain sense forms a single person, the potential procreator from whom the personal, bodily reality of a new human individual flows in material, bodily, personal continuity. An attack on this biological process is an attack on the personal value of life, not always, indeed, on an existing individual’s life, but on human life in its moment of tradition.
christendom-awake.org/pages/may/jII&bioethics.htmIn his mind-opening audiences on the “theology of the body” which he initiated on September 5, 1979 and continued through November 28, 1984 he time and again insisted that the human body “reveals” or “expresses” the person and that it is, as it were, the sacrament of the person—an outward sign not only pointing to and signifying a person but inwardly participating in the being of the person.
A “dissident catholic” is what we used to call a “Protestant” before it became politically incorrect to say that 2+2=4.What you say…sounds logical and truthful…but it is fatally flawed in both logic and truth…it is the dualist heresy which disassociates the bodily person form the spiritual person…if you don’t get the truth of the human person right…you are going to be “off” in everything else dealing with the person…probably “far off in left field”…!

Health care is first and foremost about the person…not an illness or disease…if this lady can’t get personhood right…I would pass on any advice from her about health care advice. A nice lady…means well…but being “close” in understanding personhood is not good enough…or as the old saying goes…“close” only counts in “horseshoes”!
Think of all the doctors out there who take care of young and adult women…and prescribe all kinds of “things” and “medical protocols” that are directly opposed to who a female human person really is…they do incredible damage…they mean well and are nice people…but they get it wrong and their patients pay for it…sometimes for the rest of their life!
My thoughts for your consideration.

P.S. What is a dissident Catholic?
