ZERO TOLERANCE?

by Stephen Brady, President Roman Catholic Faithful, Inc. [RCF]
Printed in the Catholic Family News (catholictradition.org/cfn-index.htm))

Having spent some time in Dallas during the bishops’ semi-annual meeting [June 12-15], I was able to confirm what many of us had already known: The same U.S. hierarchy that has ignored-----and even persecuted-----faithful Catholics has now made it clear that they have completely embraced the homosexual agenda. The majority of U.S. bishops are arguably anti-Catholic and may for the most part be homosexual themselves. This fact became crystal clear with the bishops’ refusal to even suggest homosexuality played any part in the sexual abuse scandal within the Church.

The bishops, apparently not having the benefit of common sense, had to vote on whether or not to adopt a “zero tolerance” policy for priests who rape children. Some bishops suggest that raping one child in the past should not keep the rapist from wearing a Roman Collar. What an insult to the holy priests! Regardless of what agreement is finally sent to Rome for approval, the bishops are free to do as they please within their own diocese.

Who will enforce the policy? Anyone of us could name countless abuses that have been perpetrated upon the faithful by bishops and priests without so much as an admonition from Rome. Where is the barque of Peter?

Speaking of Peter, on the evening of Friday, June 14, Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz spoke to a group of Catholic laymen; According to a news report, Bishop Bruskewitz referred to the bishops’ meeting in Dallas by stating: “this hapless bunch of bishops” had failed to address the roots of the crisis, and now courage and fighting tenacity from the laity was required. [He] cited the 14th Century St. Catherine of Siena, “an illiterate nun who is now a doctor of the Church,” as a model. “She was brave enough to tell the Pope off when he needed telling off,” said Bruskewitz. “She did her duty. We must too.”

Then Bishop Bruskewitz cited a letter that the medieval St. Bernard of Clairvaux wrote to a Pope of his day, warning the pontiff that if he [the Pope] was going to be sent to Hell, it would be because he failed to get rid of bad bishops:

“I did pass that letter on to [the current Pope],” Bruskewitz said, with a mischievous smile. [1]

The Pope is the only person with the authority to appoint or remove a bishop. His negligence cannot be denied, and Bishop Bruskewitz has said as much.

While the homosexual death-grip on the Church is only a symptom of a much bigger problem, just as it brought about the destruction of Sodom it now threatens to consume the Church by infecting Her priesthood.

As president of RCF since 1996, I have had the unfortunate opportunity to witness first-hand some of the horrific consequences of this vile vice that some of our bishops and priests now refer to as a “gift” from God. In order to fight this monster that preys upon our children and compromises our bishops, we must be willing to confront it head-on. To do this, we must identify and expose the perpetrators and those who enable them to inflict their damage. While in Dallas, RCF held a press conference to expose some of these offenders. We named two priests from the Dallas Diocese who had been part of St. Sebastian’s Angels, a network of homosexual priests who were operating on the internet.

The front page of the June 13 Washington Times contained an article that highlighted the two Dallas priests, Fr. Cliff Garner and Fr. Art Mallinson, along with a South African Bishop, Reginald Cawcutt, and noted descriptions of their sexual appetites and their hatred for the Holy Father and Cardinal Ratzinger. “I did share a room with one of our youth ministers here in Dallas-----and is he cute! He’s no Ricky Martin-----but he is Hispanic and we got along-----wonderfully! It was almost like we were meant to be together. I do have a very special place in my heart for those Latin blooded ones!” said Fr. Garner. Dallas Bishop Joseph A. Galante stated, “Cliff Garner is undergoing counseling. As long as his behavior is appropriate he will be all right.” [2]

When a male has sexual contact with another male, what do you call it??

DUH.

This article is quite old. Further, if Stephen Brady said the sun set in the west, I’d go out tomorrow with my compass to check.

If there were no homosexual Priests in the Church, there never would have been a sexual abuse scandal this humongous.

The Church needs ZERO TOLERANCE of Homosexual Priests to prevent this happening again thirty years from now.

wow, we have to remember that there is forgiveness of sins. while i’ll always agree that any kind of sex with children is a deeply evil act, i’ll also always insist that we never raise the civil law above the Divine Truth revealed to us by Jesus Christ.

none of these men should go unpunished or given the opportunity to do it again. also, none of the men should be persecuted for theirs sins. the civil law is driven by principles which are more and more decidedly divorced from principles instilled in us by God. as difficult and confusing as it may be, our standard must always be Christ and the Cross. the evil they did already betrayed the trust Jesus put in them. let’s not do the same.

i have read a lot the material on the rcf website. they seem to have helped expose men who should not wear the collar because of what they are doing. but that guy also slings mud pretty violently on anyone he thinks deserves it, including the bishops. defaming the Church by saying that they’re all probably a bunch of homosexuals is a sin IMO and degrades Christ also.

pedophilia is far more insideous than simple homosexuality. both men and woman perpetrate this evil on children, male and female. it is about power, control, and degradation. focusing only on the sexual aspect of this crime means that we are failing to deal with the entire issue. (again just my opinion.)

Just a polite reminder, the majority of sexual abuse was done by male Priests against pubescent boys, which doesn’t fall into the definition of pedophilia preferring PRE-pubescent boys. Homosexuals made up the bulk of offenders in the ongoing sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. Its just plain common sense to keep homosexuals out of the Priesthood.

Pedophile and pedorast are both horns on the same homosexual devil.

As a Catholic priest, I have an investment in issues that affect the Church and the people of God. And, as a Christian, I have an obligation to speak out. So let me make the following points as clearly as I can:
  1. Most of the scandals and evils we see in the Church today are brought about primarily by homosexuality. Homosexuality is an objective moral disorder and unacceptable in the priesthood! For nearly two thousand years the teachings of the scripture, the magisterium, and Tradition—the three sources of revelation which give us truth—have all agreed: homosexuality as an “abomination”! Only recently have Phil and Oprah and a few TV sitcoms disagreed. But God doesn’t change, and Phil and Oprah won’t be on the throne to judge us!
  2. Even though Church documents forbid the acceptance of homosexuals into the seminary and, quite obviously, their ordination to the priesthood, those in authority have for years looked the other way, (don’t ask, don’t tell) and homosexuals have flocked into the Church. Now they have positions of authority! They use this authority to protect and promote one another, creating a distinct subculture that is rapidly becoming dominant. This sub-culture is the ideal homosexual environment. As a priest no one questions why you aren’t married. You get respect that you don’t necessarily earn. You have a target-rich environment, especially if you have a school, and, if you slip up and get caught, the civil authorities will not want to prosecute you because you’re a priest and, as we have seen, the Church will cover you, defend you, and may set you up in another parish or even another diocese so you can continue to prey on God’s people.
A homosexual predator could not hope to find a more friendly and supportive environment than priesthood in the American Catholic Church!

Dr. Navarro-Valls based his statement on a 1961 Vatican document titled, “Careful Selection and Training of Candidates for the States of Perfection and Sacred Orders” that was promulgated by the Vatican’s Sacred Congregation for Religious on February 2, 1961. The paragraph regarding homosexuals and the priesthood states: "Advancement to religious vows and ordination should be barred to those who are afflicted with evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty, since for them the common life and the priestly ministry would constitute serious dangers." (emphasis added)The document, which can be found on RCF’s web site at [www.rcf.org]](www.rcf.org]) was signed by Pope John XXIII, the very Pope praised by the liberals for calling the Second Vatican Council.
It’s funny how this 1961 Vatican document is hardly ever mentioned.

If the other male is a kid, you call it pederasty.
If the other male is dead, you call it necrophily.
If the other male is involuntary, you call it rape.
If the other male is a consenting adult, you call it an homosexual act.

Check your dictionary Werner, homosexual is defined:

“Of, relating to, or having a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex” Therefore the defining term relates to whether the inclination is toward the same or opposite sex. There is nothing about this term that specifies age, willingness or life status.

Homosexual acts are perverted, no matter the ages involved.

I talk about it and damn it whenever I can.

Homosexual promiscuity in the Catholic clergy has GOT to be stomped-out. Nastily.

It was the majority of the problem. For too long too many people (even priests) seem to have adopted the Protestant position of: “I’ll sin whenever I feel like it, and Jesus will forgive.”

Gay priests were…being gay. They were counting on everyne forgiving them and moving on.

Is this from the dictionary of politically corrected speech?

Hey, somebody asked for definitions. They got what they asked for. Now, maybe they aren’t happy because their rhetorical question got answered wrong:rolleyes: (though I do agree that any sexual act with someone of the same gender is homosexual and not at all right)

In the context of the ongoing abuse scandal the term pederasty should be used to describe what is going on.

I understand that the Vatican is currently preparing a document that addresses this very problem. I haven’t got wind one way or another how they will finally rule on this issue but for the sake of the Church, I hope and pray that homosexuals will be barred from the priesthood. It is simple too risky to ordain someone with same-sex attractions and yes, clearly homosexuality played a huge role in the priest scandal.
