Blasphemy in Media?

Unfortunately it is common for blasphemy to occur in TV, movies and media. And all too frequently, the faithful are subjected to hearing God’s name being taking in vain frequently.

There is a specific “show” on the internet that I enjoy watching, as the host of the show is rediculously funny, and makes for a very entertaining show. Only downside is that he uses “O-M-G” pretty freely. He is also occasionally has crude humor incorporated into his show.

My question is this…if we are able to avoid subjection to blasphemy, should we? Should we actively avoid Tv, movies, music that occasionally take Our Lord’s name in vain?

In my opinion if it’s just occasionally then it’s ok, but if it’s constant then no way!

And that’s the catch. It’s either really cringey “Christian” films that are family friendly and clean, but unfortunately often very cheesy, or middle ground material that is actually entertaining and funny, but occasionally have blasphemy and vulgarity.
