I ask for the intercession of St. Joseph, St. Augustine, St. Benedict, St Francis, St. Dominic, St. Ignatius, St. Josemaria Escriva and Blessed Pope John Paul II, in my life and in the life of men throughout the world, at the end of the Liturgy of the Hours every morning. My continuted strength in resisting sexual temptation is undoubtedly a result of the intercession of Our Lady to whom I am consecrated, and to the intercesion of these strong men, some of whome struggled as well.
As to the canonization of Blessed Pope John Paul II, those who are Blessed always go on to be saints. The fact that Blessed Pope John Paul II has the title Blessed means that he will be canonized. Whether we desire it to happen or not is not relevant. It will happen. He is therefor already a saint and is in Heaven. The only thing lacking is a formal declaration of such from the Church.
