I used to care for the purificators and corporals in my parish. As we have no sacrarium I was instructed by our pastor to soak the linens in water and then pour the water on the ground in a location where people would not walk on it.
After that I put them in the washing machine. With Precious Blood stains I soaked the purificators a bit longer and tried to remove as much of the stain as possible before putting them in the washer.
