August 2 was the memorial of St Peter Julian Eymard. He founded the Blessed Sacrament congregation for men, then the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament. The latter was visualized as a congregation of sister-eucharistic Ministers who would deliver communion to the Sick and homebound.
